Le Coq Gaulois

Bordeaux Blanc

Our Le Coq Gaulois Bordeaux Blanc is a delightful fusion of tropical fruit notes, lively acidity and refreshing minerality, creating a versatile and food-friendly wine. The Gironde River, which divides the historic Bordeaux region, creates the unique growing conditions that nurture the grapes in our blend. Our Bordeaux Blanc is crafted in the classic style of the region's white wines, showcasing the complementary characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Sauvignon Blanc brings cheerful aromas and natural acidity, while the Sémillon adds smooth textures and fullness, resulting in a beautifully balanced wine. Enjoy a chilled glass as an aperitif or pair it with a variety of dishes, from fresh seafood and salads to goat cheese and seasonal fruits. WINE REGION:

Outline of Bordeaux AOP

Bordeaux AOP

Probably the world's most famous wine region, Bordeaux is a true powerhouse of French quality. While Bordeaux is home to some of the country's most expensive bottles, it is also possible to find great-value wines from small producers. Almost all red and white wines from Bordeaux are blends. Reds tend to be a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. But just as important as the blends are the quality of the region's terroir and unique winemaking techniques. The Bordeaux region is divided by the Gironde River into two main parts. Cabernet Sauvignon reigns supreme on the the Left Bank, while Merlot dominates the Right Bank. White wines are usually a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) classification for French wine relates to wine being from a specific region that is significantly regulated. The regions are both large and small, each with its own set of rules for permitted varietals, production standards and quality control cues.

The nose of our blend is tropical and bright, with hints of a fresh, herbaceous character. The palate introduces smooth textures, with subtle creaminess supporting the ripe guava and saline-like mineral notes that make each sip more refreshing than the last.
