An exciting new release from Gold Medal-winning La Belle France
ABOUT THIS WINE:
La Belle France
Pinot Noir
Our exciting Pinot Noir from Gold Medal-winning La Belle France offers all the glory of Old World red Burgundy without the price tag. The diverse climate of the Pays d’Oc region in the south of France allows winemakers to experiment with numerous grape varieties. Historically, these wines have leaned more towards a powerfully fruit-forward, New World style, despite hailing from one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world. Our Pinot Noir, however, is an exception. This spicy and savory wine goes back to its traditional French roots with refreshing acidity, dusty tannins, and exceptional oak influence. We are proud to say that this light-bodied wine over delivers for its affordability. Each sip is a reminder that in the world of winemaking, famous names aren’t the only ones who can produce fine wines. All it takes is the right climate and expertise to bring the beauty of a h ...

WINE REGION:
Pays d'Oc IGP
If you've vacationed in the south of France, you've probably visited the Pays d'Oc region. Embracing the Mediterranean from Spain to Provence, this region is famed as much for its Grenache, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as its endless sunshine. Pays d'Oc covers non-AOC wines made across this large, sun-kissed region, known as France's "New World." Far from the regulations of the AOC system, pioneering winemakers headed here to experiment, crafting many now-famous wines that often state their grape variety on the label—not something that was common in France before then. IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) within France’s wine classification system focuses on controlling regional and geographical origin. The category is less restrictive than the AOC classification and gives winemakers more freedom with style and taste profile when creating wines.

TASTING NOTES:
Cloves
Dried Herbs
Strawberry
Reminiscent of red Burgundy, our Pinot Noir offers aromas of dried herbs and clove. The dry palate is light and lively, with fruit flavors that fall secondary to spice. Flavors of cinnamon stick, candied ginger, and strawberry mingle before a refreshing finish with lingering austerity.
