Jacks & Swan Cellars
Monterey County, California
There’s rich history and rich flavor in the Gold medal winning Jacks and Swan Cellars Pinot Grigio
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Jacks & Swan Cellars
Pinot Grigio
David Jacks and Jack Swan are two fascinating people in the history of California. They combined business acumen and flair to open the first theater on the west coast, drawing in people from all over. The Jacks and Swan Pinot Grigio also has a knack for drawing people in. The lush flavors and round palate of this wine make it hard to ignore. It’s a viscous indulgence with notes of lemon and pear, subtly held up by lighter tastes of white flowers. This Pinot Grigio won’t play second fiddle to dinner either. The broad texture and moderate acidity can easily support creamy sauces, chicken, or grilled fish. It took home a Bronze medal at the 2018 International Women's Wine Competition!

WINE REGION:
Monterey County
Not to be confused with Monterey AVA, Monterey County is a larger designation that also includes the Carmel and San Antonio valleys, among others. Encompassing three distinct zones at the northern end of the Central Coast, Monterey County produces vast amounts of high-quality Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris. For reds, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have often been replaced by Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache in recent years. These cooler-climate grapes achieve greatness through the influence of Monterey Bay, which pushes cold fogs and chilly afternoon winds down the Salinas Valley, tempering the sun's heat and allowing a long, moderate ripening season.
