ABOUT THIS WINE:
Impress
Petit Verdot
Traditionally Petit Verdot is used alongside other grapes, it’s a native of Bordeaux that has a beautiful deep color, full tannins, and aromas of fruit and violets. We felt that this particular wine deserved its own time to shine, and that’s why we are bringing the single varietal Petit Verdot to the club. The Impress will leave you wanting more. With full fruit flavors of black cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry mingling with vanilla and baking spice, this is a perfect wine to pair with food. We would recommend rosemary lamb chops, aged cheeses, and roasted mushrooms. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal at the 2019 Harvest Challenge.

WINE REGION:
California
California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

TASTING NOTES:
Blackberry
Baking Spice
Black Cherry
The beautiful thing about this wine is how well integrated it is. Black cherry, black currant, and blackberry (lots of dark fruit) mix with vanilla and other baking spices. It's fun to tastes and we think it's great for pairing.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Impress
Never to be confused with something flashy or loud, the wines of Impress are about honest subtly. A mutual respect that is built with each sip. The transparency of the land, the grapes, and the hard work that went into each bottle. The layers of flavor do not lie, and they certainly do impress.
