Sauvignon Blanc
This 92 point Sauvignon Blanc is produced from grapes grown in various microclimates of the Napa Valley. The warmer area has grapes with melon and citrus characteristics in both aroma and flavor. The cooler areas of Napa Valley provide fruit with a solid, crisp backbone that gives the wine an exciting liveliness and balances the rich creaminess from "sur lie" aging. The Sémillon is grown on the Groth Oakville Estate vineyard and is harvested with the Estate Sauvignon Blanc, contributing roundness and weight to the mouthfeel. A special combination of pressing, fermentation techniques, and the aging program adds complexity to the aromas while preserving the bright fruit and lively natural acidity that make this wine so refreshing and enjoyable.

The first recognition that immediately put Groth on the map was when Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate gave the Groth 1985 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon California’s first 100-point wine. Since day one, the Groth family has been present in the business every day. Today, second-generation family member Suzanne Groth is the custodian of the business. Suzanne shares her parents’ love for Oakville, Napa Valley, and the unique agricultural preserve that has been developed there.
