Native to Croatia, Zinfandel is considered to be one of the oldest grape varieties in the world, with evidence of its wines dating to 6000 BCE. Its blend partner, Petite Sirah, was first discovered in France in the mid-1800s. While it is a popular grape, Petite Sirah is quite rare.
