ABOUT THIS WINE:
FogBreak
Sauvignon Blanc
Each morning, cooling fog rolls across the valleys of California’s Northern and Central Coasts across hillside vineyards tucked into ravines in the Sierra Nevada mountains. This vintage’s Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Clements Hills sub-region of Lodi, California which is slightly warmer and wetter than those on the western side of Lodi resulting in smaller grapes and lower yields producing citrus notes with focused, natural, mouth-watering acidity.

WINE REGION:
Clements Hills
Part of the larger Lodi AVA, Clements Hill sits between the Sierra Foothills and the California Delta, benefiting from the influence of both. Its Mediterranean-like climate and crumbly soils make Clements Hill well suited to growing Spanish grape varieties. Tempranillo, Garnacha (Grenache) and Albariño grow well in the dry heat of the region, as do Zinfandel, Syrah and Viognier. To survive, the vines have to force their roots deep into the loamy-granite earth to find water, which naturally restricts yields and grape size. All of this helps give Clements Hill wines their structure and concentration.

TASTING NOTES:
Grapefruit
Pear
Lemon
This wine is extra fresh with notes of citrus and tropical fruits. Light on the palate with clean acidity, this wine is a great wine to start with. The finish is bright and tart, we can't get enough. This is a perfect wine to pair with cheeses. Goat, chevre, or feta are all going to shine.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
FogBreak
Each morning, cooling mists from the Pacific Ocean roll across the valleys of California. Vineyards below this cloud cover hold onto night's chill just a bit longer, allowing grapes to ripen slower than those that greet the morning sun. This is the inspiration for FogBreak, where each wine is a lesson in subtlety, and every sip slowly unfolds to reveal something beautiful.
