Malvasia Bianca
With a rich history and rich flavor, we are incredibly excited to welcome a Malvasia Bianca to Firstleaf. Winemakers in California have been exploring all types of growing techniques and grape combinations that were off-limits in the Old World, and this is one of the best results that we have tasted. With rich tropical fruits and citrus offset by herbs and exotic spices, we can’t stop reaching for a bottle of this wine to quench our thirst. The subtle secondary and tertiary flavors add a layer of complexity to this youthful offering. Perfect for pairing or enjoying on its own. Judges love it too! It took home a Gold medal at the 2018 Harvest Challenge and was named the "Best of Paso Robles."

WINE REGION:
Paso Robles
California's fastest-growing wine region is quickly gaining an international reputation for its innovative and boundary-breaking wines. Located halfway between LA and San Francisco, the Paso Robles AVA in San Luis Obispo County has two main zones. The eastern side has a hot and sunny climate with deep, rich soils producing plush, fruity wines with sweet ripe flavors. To the west, the cooling influence of the Pacific brings a zingy backbone to rich Zinfandel and Rhône favorites like Syrah and Viognier. Italian varietals like Sangiovese and Nebbiolo are also favorites of Paso Robles grape growers and wine drinkers.

TASTING NOTES:
Tropical Fruit
Baking Spice
Lemon
The natural sweetness of this wine is perfect for contrast the salty pungency of blue cheeses, but the intense florals make it a lovely choice for enjoying on its own.
