ABOUT THIS WINE:

Fifth Note Cellars

Tempranillo

In the first competition of 2022, this Tempranillo took home a Double Gold Medal!
It’s time to step into the kitchen. Our Fifth Note Cellars Tempranillo from the warm, Mediterranean climate of Dunnigan Hills, California, is food-friendly and full of flavor. In addition to its stewed dark fruit and baking spice, this wine has all the structural characteristics of a wine perfect for pairing with food. Tempranillo is a grape variety that has historically always held a seat at the dinner table. Its bountiful tannins will assist in the breakdown of heavy proteins such as steak for a harmonious, textural experience best enjoyed with a “sip, bite, sip” approach. Our wine’s optimal acidity levels won’t overwhelm starchy textures and will cut through the fat and cream of richer dishes, all while working beautifully in tune with your meal. We think the time has come to pour yourself ...

TASTING NOTES:

Fruit Preserves

Vanilla

Oak

Uplifting aromatics of coconut and vanilla complement spicy scents of cinnamon. The palate is a bit tangy with notes of balsamic and brown sugar, but this wine’s flavors are not sweet. Instead, each sip is textural, fruity, and rhythmic with notes of pruned plums, blackberries, and oak.
