Our Faire Saveur Grenache calls out to the loyal lovers of French wine. This wine is fruit forward and plush. Bright red fruit aromas lead to a ripe palate with soft textures and a touch of oak. Grenache is the third-most widely planted grape variety in France, where it accounts for half of the global acreage. Although many Old and New World wine regions often follow the lead of French winemaking styles, Faire Saveur remains committed to bringing you the real thing. Our Grenache comes from the temperate climate of the Pays d’Oc on France’s picturesque southern coast. Here, grapes bask in the sun’s rays as they reflect off the Mediterranean Sea’s calm waters. Pays d'Oc covers non-AOC wines made across this large, sun-kissed region, known as France's "New World." Far from the regulations of the AOC system, pioneering winemakers headed here to experiment, crafting many now-famous wines that often state their grape variety on the label—not something that was common in France before then. IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) within France’s wine classification system focuses on controlling regional and geographical origin. The category is less restrictive than the AOC classification and gives winemakers more freedom with style and taste profile when creating wines.
