Explore the vineyards of southern France in the award-winning Faire Saveur Grenache Rouge
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Faire Saveur
Grenache Rouge
France is a country with strong regional identities. Brittany is a whimsical, cold coastal dream, Alsace is an alpine playground, Paris is called “the city of light”, and southern France (Provence, Gascony, and more) is a food wonderland. The Faire Saveur Grenache Rouge comes from southern France and features the fresh flavors of the Mediterranean: dried herbs, jammy (but still dry) red fruit, and baking spices. The herbs, spices, and hints of dried rose allow it to pair with medium to heavy dishes like you would find in southern French cooking: roasted pork, venison, or charcuterie. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal from the 2019 Sommelier Challenge.

WINE REGION:
Pays d'Oc IGP
If you've vacationed in the south of France, you've probably visited the Pays d'Oc region. Embracing the Mediterranean from Spain to Provence, this region is famed as much for its Grenache, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as its endless sunshine. Pays d'Oc covers non-AOC wines made across this large, sun-kissed region, known as France's "New World." Far from the regulations of the AOC system, pioneering winemakers headed here to experiment, crafting many now-famous wines that often state their grape variety on the label—not something that was common in France before then. IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) within France’s wine classification system focuses on controlling regional and geographical origin. The category is less restrictive than the AOC classification and gives winemakers more freedom with style and taste profile when creating wines.

TASTING NOTES:
Rose Petal
Raspberry
Baking Spice
This is a jammy wine full of red fruit and what in the Mediterranean basin is referred to as "garrigue." That word is used to describe the fragrant blend of herbs and spices that grow along the sea. It's present in this delicious wine and we love pairing it with traditional French dishes.
