Common Phenomena
Lodi, California
There's nothing common about this award-winning Red blend.
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Common Phenomena
Red
Many everyday things look amazing upon closer inspection: look only as far as the beauty of shells, sunflower whorls, and spiral galaxies to see natural examples of the Fibonacci sequence. Every element is represented by a balanced group of molecules coming together to make something stable. With the Common Phenomena you can drink in the complexity of a vibrant Red wine. Full of brooding cassis, ripe plum, and dark cherry flavors that are offset by warm earthy notes, this wine needs to be tasted closely. It's anything but common.

WINE REGION:
Lodi
The jewel of the Central Valley, Lodi lies just east of the California Delta in an area of varied terroir. Winemakers here can extract different grape variety expressions from each plot of land. Zinfandel is common here, making deeply fruity and tantalizingly smoky wines, often from old vines. But the deep loamy soils and balmy Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, help keep Lodi's grape varieties and winemaking styles impressively diverse. Alongside the ubiquitous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Viognier also thrive. Lodi is a melting pot of different grape varieties and winemaking techniques, all of which make it a rewarding region to explore.

Our Intriguing Red is smooth, warm and elegant. Darker brooding fruits of cassis, ripe plum, and dark cherries are immediately present and intermingle with warm earthy notes that combine with the sweeter notes of mocha and chocolate.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Common Phenomena
We are continually surrounded by natural beauty, but with closer observation, an even more profound sense of wonder develops — the spiral of a seashell mimicked in the tendril of a grapevine, the repetition of petals circling a flower’s center, or the bursting of new buds in a springtime vineyard. Common Phenomena celebrates not only the world’s obvious allure but that which goes even further when you take a moment to look beyond.
