Clean Slate

This Riesling is a blend of grapes from the Lower, Middle, and Upper Mosel region. In this cool climate, successful ripening can be challenging. The grapes here benefit from soils composed of thin slate stones, which absorb heat from the sun and reflect it onto the grapes from below. Vines here also take advantage of reflected sunlight from the Mosel River to aid in ripening and the production of sugars and flavor compounds. This Riesling brings together the fresh and fruity flavors from each vineyard. The winemakers used gentle pressing and carefully selected yeasts to carry out fermentation at cool temperatures. The result? A refreshingly fruit-forward and aromatic Mosel Riesling.
