ABOUT THIS WINE:
Bonfilia
Vino Rosso
Taste what generations of tradition and passion can create. Our winemaking partners in northern Italy employ practices handed down from their elders, which they will one day pass onto children of their own. Our Bonfilia — meaning "good daughter" — Vino Rosso has been mindfully nurtured from grape to glass. This potent blend is delectably red-fruited and earthy with captivating spice. A proper upbringing began in the vineyard, where workers there paid close attention to pruning and ripening while also being mindful of pinpointing the perfect moment to begin the harvest. WINE REGION:
Veneto IGT
The Veneto (pronounced VEN-uh-toh) super-region in northeastern Italy is the engine room of Italian wine. The area sweeps inland of the Gulf of Venice from the Slovenian border west to Verona. It is a transitional region, sitting between the Alpine north and the drier central lands; Veneto enjoys a balmy Mediterranean climate that makes it a haven for vineyards. Veneto is famous for its prosecco and prosecco rosé, but also produces crisp, aromatic whites like Pinot Grigio and mouthwatering reds such as Sangiovese and Merlot. The IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) classification system was created to provide more freedom and ease for winemaking within Italy. Wines under the IGT classification are regulated on the region of origin—where within the country grapes are grown—instead of varietals or wine styles as DOC and DOCG laws focus on.

TASTING NOTES:
Pomegranate
Cloves
Oak
Our blend is fresh, but not bursting with berry flavor. This Old World style focuses instead on texture and spice. Subtle pomegranate flavors are secondary to cinnamon, clove, and fresh earth. On the palate, relaxed tannins and restrained acidity create a gracefully balanced mouthfeel.
