ABOUT THIS WINE:

Bodewell

Bodewell

Chardonnay

This wine is structured and rich, a classic representation of Sonoma County Chardonnay. The region receives cool, foggy, and windy influences from the nearby Pacific Ocean which allows grapes to develop highly concentrated flavors and retain a light and balanced acidity. Crafted to be full-bodied, this wine is beautifully balanced and has a textural creaminess that makes you go back for another glass. Wonderful alone or with all kinds of foods, this wine also gives back - $1 from every bottle sold goes to Wine to Water, a charitable nonprofit focused on global clean water initiatives.

WINE REGION:

Outline of Sonoma County

Sonoma County

Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.

TASTING NOTES:

Pear

Honey

Peach

Baked pear tartlet flavors combined with baked bread and honey notes make this wine rich and enjoyable with every sip. Light acidity that comes out thanks to the region’s maritime influences balances with a creamy texture on the palate. This wine will have everyone going back for another glass, even the “I’m not a Chardonnay person” drinker. Perfect with dishes featuring cream-based sauces or saltier creamy cheeses.
