ABOUT THIS WINE:

Acadine

Acadine

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a fussy grape. Too much sun and it bakes, shriveling berries before they’re ready to harvest. Not enough sun and fruit could not fully ripen, creating bitterness in the final product. Given the need for a perfect balance of cool temperatures for proper flavor development and just the right amount of sunshine for ripening, it is no surprise that California is an incredible place to grow Pinot Noir. Up and down the state there are perfect growing sites – Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Monterey and San Luis Obispo, Sonoma County, and Mendocino all have their own special uniqueness that comes out in the fruit. This wine showcases the beauty of the California sunshine on the delicate grape. With flavors of bright red fruit, a nuttiness from oak influences, and a hint of minerality, we promise you that anyone who tastes this beautiful bottle will go back for another glass. Excell ...

WINE REGION:

Outline of California

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

large bunches of red grapes on the vine

Acadine

In Greek mythology, Acadine was a magical fountain described by the historian Diodorus Siculus. As writings were thrown into the fountain, they would float to the top if genuine; if dishonest, they would sink to the bottom where they were devoured by Hades. Each of our wines reveals the truth of its varietal. These pure, expressive creations, too, carry a sense of enchantment that seeks to be savored and begs to be shared.
