Tomé
Spain
A temperamental award-winning grape tamed to perfection
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Tomé
Bobal-Tempranillo
A challenging grape to train and master, it’s only fitting that the Bobal grape is named so because of its unique ‘bulls head’ shape. But when growers get it right and the summers stay cool, the reward is worth every second of hard work. With just a touch of Tempranillo to round it out, this robust red fills the palate with strawberry, pomegranate, and rich black raspberry, combined with punchy white pepper and fresh mint. Balanced but sturdy this wine goes perfectly with powerful, meaty flavors. We recommend relishing slowly with a platter of Spanish cured meats and chorizo. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal at the 2020 Winemaker Challenge.
