The majority of South Africa's best wines are produced in the southwest coastal zones around Cape Town, known collectively as the Western Cape. Sandwiched between the country's majestic mountains and its cooling ocean coasts (the Atlantic to the west of the Cape of Good Hope, the Indian Ocean to its east), the Western Cape offers a wealth of winemaking riches.
