ABOUT THIS WINE:

Los Antiguos
Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Los Antiguos Cabernet Sauvignon is a delectable fusion of Old World elegance and New World charm. Each sip offers generous oaky, and spicy characteristics with hints of dark berry fruit. Hidden high in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Mendoza provides a perfect environment for Cabernet to flourish. Hot, sunny days and cool nights create optimal conditions for the grapes to ripen slowly, developing intense fruit flavors and balanced acidity. Though it's not native to the region, this French grape has called Mendoza home since the 19th century when European immigrants brought the first vine cuttings from Bordeaux. Over the years, Cabernet Sauvignon has grown fond of high-mountain living, developing distinct expressions worthy of mindful appreciation and a good meal. WINE REGION:

Mendoza
Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.

TASTING NOTES:

Coconut

Cloves

Chocolate
The oakiness and spice are the influence of American oak barrels. Aromas of coconut, baker's chocolate, and clove carry from the nose to the palate, joining subtle blackberry notes. The full body, smooth tannins, and modest acidity make it excellent for food-pairing.
