“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” –Eleanor Roosevelt. International Press answers the question, "What if you could explore the world through wine?" Each bottle is a unique cultural artifact so deeply intertwined with terroir, the earth the vines grow in, that every time you drink a wine you're consuming an expression of the land. International Press will bring you the distinct character of each country, and this Italian Pecorino comes from Terre di Chieti on the Adriatic coast and pulls in unmistakable flavors or white pulped fruits and a light complexity from exotic and tropical fruits. Remember to taste deep and experience this wine to the utmost. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal from the 2019 Sommelier Challenge.

WINE REGION:
Terre di Chieti IGT
A small appellation within central Italy’s Abruzzo region, Terre di Chieti is nestled in the foothills and is home to both red and white varietals. Thanks to influences from the nearby Adriatic Sea, the region experiences a traditional Mediterranean climate. Unlike many of its counterparts throughout the country, wines from Terre di Chieti are not subject to the governance of DOC or DOCG restrictions—rather, they are subject to the IGT/IGP classification, which is simply a focus on geography. Because of this, winemakers have extreme flexibility in how they go about producing their wines. The IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) classification system was created to provide more freedom and ease for winemaking within Italy. Wines under the IGT classification are regulated on the region of origin—where within the country grapes are grown—instead of varietals or wine styles as DOC and DOCG laws focus on.

Tropical Fruit
This Pecorino is incredibly fresh, and we love the unique and unmistakeable flavors of white pulped fruits, with hints of exotic and tropical fruits. These flavors are fairly uncommon in more well-known Italian wines.
