Cabernet Sauvignon-Petit Verdot

Just a short drive from Santiago in Chile is the Colchagua Valley. The valley is incredibly fertile and perfect for growing grapes. Founded in 2001 the Estampa winery is the only winery in the country to specialize in blending wines. They pull the best characteristics of each grape to create luscious and elegant wines. This wine is blended for a beautiful balance of fruit, tannins, and herbaceous notes. The deep color and sweet nose have a pleasing persistence. A great companion for meat and cheeses.

WINE REGION:

Outline of Colchagua Valley

Colchagua Valley

Dubbed "Chile's red wine paradise" by Vogue magazine, Colchagua Valley is undoubtedly one of South America's finest wine regions. Indeed, many of Chile's best reds come from this dry, ocean breeze-cooled section of the Central Valley. Expect inky-dark reds made from Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. These wines burst with flavors of ripe berries and earthy tobacco, with a nice acidic balance thanks to the valley's cool nights. Don't underestimate the white wines, either, as Colchuaga's breezy coast is home to some memorable Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
