ABOUT THIS WINE:

Dry Creek Vineyard

Dry Creek Vineyard

Fumé Blanc

Since 1972, Dry Creek Vineyards has produced Fumé Blanc — a wine at the heart and soul of the winery. Modeled after the classic wines from the Loire Valley in France, Fumé Blanc is crisp, balanced, and immediately drinkable. Winery founder David Stare was the first person to plant the Sauvignon Blanc varietal (the grape used to make Fumé Blanc) in the Dry Creek Valley, against the advice of many viticultural experts. Many years later, Sauvignon Blanc is now the most widely planted white variety in the Dry Creek Valley, and his daughter Kim and her husband Don are proud to carry on his legacy producing this classic, dry white wine.

NOTE: This is NOT a Firstleaf Exclusive wine and is not eligible for discounts, member pricing, or member guarantee. Limited Availability.

Due to state registrations, we cannot ship this wine to AL, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, I

WINE REGION:

Outline of Sonoma County

Sonoma County

Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Dry Creek Vineyard

Dry Creek Vineyard is one of the few remaining family-owned wineries in California. With more than 45 years of grape growing and winemaking experience, their efforts continue to focus on the quality of wine in the bottle. When founder David Stare started Dry Creek Vineyard, he began the winery with a single-minded effort to offer the highest quality wine possible at a reasonable price. Dave realized that the success of the winery hinged upon providing that “something special” in the bottle to keep customers coming back for more. Today, the second generation continues to build upon those early-established values. Dave’s daughter and president of the winery, Kim Stare Wallace, is wholly committed to the quality of wine produced at Dry Creek Vineyard. The goal remains the same: to produce high-quality wines while being mindful of the original vision of the winery.
