Bodegas Viceroyalty

Vino Tinto Patrimonial

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking Winemakers carefully balance 50% Carménère and 50% Carignan to craft a wine that marries plush dark fruit with vibrant acidity and firm tannins. Sourced from heritage vines in the Cachapoal and Maule Valleys, the Carignan component—particularly from older plantings—adds depth and structure, while the Carménère contributes rich blackberry flavors and a touch of black pepper spice. Aged with precision, this blend unfolds in layers, offering a bold, full-bodied experience with a lingering finish of dried herbs and earthy complexity.

Vintage The 2024 vintage in Chile’s Cachapoal and Maule Valleys was defined by even ripening and optimal vineyard conditions. A steady growing season allowed Carménère to develop its signature depth at the same time Carignan thrived, maintaining its vibr ...

WINE REGION:

Outline of Chile

Chile

In recent years, Chile has increasingly produced incredible wines of exceptional value. With a setting influenced by the Andes Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, the Atacama Desert and even Antarctica, Chile is a diverse land with rocky foothills, lush valley floors and cool coastal zones. Chile gained international renown for its New World take on classic Bordeaux varieties. Interestingly, it's an obscure red Bordeaux variety—Carménère—that has become Chile's signature grape. But other Old World varieties do equally well in Chile; Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay have all become mainstays of Chilean wine, exhibiting impressive levels of quality and balance in the country's distinct terroirs.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Bodegas Viceroyalty

South America's distinguished winemaking history began during the "Age of Discovery," marked by the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors. In the early 1500s, these explorers journeyed down from North America through Mexico, bringing new ideas and technology to what they referred to as the Viceroyalty of New Spain. One of the most important debuts was the European grapevine and, with it, an introduction to the winemaking process. Though this industry was slow to take hold, once it did, it ignited a passion throughout South America that burns to this day. Nowadays, Chile and Argentina serve as the backbone of South American wine, having carved a place amongst the world's top producers with their unparalleled terroir and distinctive styles. The wines of Bodegas Viceroyalty uphold this reputation, respect for history and above all, the expectation of excellence.
