ABOUT THIS WINE:

Andás

Malbec Reserva

Mendoza is a high-altitude growing location in Argentina famously known for the fan-favorite Malbec. With vineyard sites ranging from 2,600 to 3,900 feet above sea level, fruit sees a hot, dry climate during the growing season. Sunny days are cooled off by winds coming from the Andes mountains. The cooler temperatures allow grapes to develop rich and concentrated flavors as well as the signature Malbec acidity. Our last vintage of this wine was awarded “Best Malbec" in the 2019 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge, and this year is no different. Deep in color and bold in taste, this savory wine lingers with every sip. With plush and lively fruit flavors, firm tannins that grip the palate, and a balanced acidity, this wine was created to pair perfectly with rustic and complexly flavored dishes. Enjoy on a cool fall evening alongside grilled meats and salty cheeses. Scrol ...

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.

TASTING NOTES:

Blackberry

Plum

Raspberry

This is a beautiful expression of the Malbec grape. Plush and lively fruit flavors of deep raspberry, blackberry, red plum, and blackcurrant meld with notes of licorice and a savory spiciness. Firm tannins grip the palate and are complemented by pronounced natural acidity. "Subdued fruit with dusty notes and pronounced acidity" - Michael Cervin, 2020 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

large bunches of red grapes on the vine

Andás

The name Andás has a few associations with place and culture in Argentina. What place? The Andes Mountains, whose striking peaks dominate Argentina's landscape, hoisting vineyards up towards the sun. The culture? A phrase, "que andás," which loosely translates to "how's it going," "let's go," or simply a greeting between peers. Each of these high-altitude wines speaks to its roots, a place you can't help but remember and a feeling you'll never forget.
