Winemaking Winemakers craft this white blend to balance aromatic lift with layered texture. After fermentation, the wine rests on its lees in a mix of stainless steel and large-format oak puncheons, 25% of which are new. Gentle bâtonnage builds a creamy mouthfeel and mid-palate weight, while preserving the wine’s bright floral and fruit-driven character. The stainless steel maintains freshness, while the subtle oxygen exchange from the puncheons adds depth and a refined, lingering finish.
Vintage The 2024 vintage offered ideal conditions for crafting a white blend of nuance and finesse. A cool, steady spring led to even flowering, while moderate summer temperatures allowed for slow, balanced ripening. Rutherford
Stretching from the base of the Mayacamas to the Silverado Trail, Rutherford is one of Napa Valley's most famous AVAs. It gained its loyal following for its powerful, well-structured Cabernet Sauvignons. Crawling along the valley floor, vines benefit from warm temperatures and lots of California sunshine, all tempered by the cool Bay Area fog. During the long summer days, grapes ripen to their full potential to develop concentrated flavors of rich dark fruits. These complement the traditional earthy notes of Napa wines, along with herbal hints of mint and eucalyptus. One of the most recognizable elements of this AVA's wines is fine-grained tannins, known by wine enthusiasts as "Rutherford dust."
