ABOUT THIS WINE:

25 Degrees

25 Degrees

Sauvignon Blanc

Hailing from the Valle Central in Chile which accounts for almost 75% of Chile’s wine production, this Sauvignon Blanc is beautifully vibrant and light. Sauvignon Blanc as a varietal reigns king in the Valle Central because of its continental climate - dry heat and high temperatures allow grapes to ripen fully and maintain bright acidity. Tropical fruit dominates the nose but the classic crisp and mouthwatering acidity keep flavors from being too sweet. Perfect for a warm summer day paired with all kinds of seafood dishes.

WINE REGION:

Outline of Valle Central

Valle Central

The expansive, warm flatlands of Chile's Valle Central are home to most of the country's vineyards. This long stretch of land from Santiago to Itata Valley is divided into four sub-regions, each with its own climate and reputation. There is Maipo Valley with its minty Cabernet Sauvignon, Rapel Valley with its spicy Carménère and the Curicó and Maule Valleys, famous for concentrated Carignan made from old vines. Throughout the valley—which is prized for its rich, volcanic soils—the hot days and cool nights result in ripe, well-balanced grapes. Some of the most common Valle Central wines are fruit-forward reds made from plummy Merlot and pear-flavored whites crafted from Chardonnay.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

25 Degrees

While most of the world's winemaking regions fall between 30 to 50 degrees latitude, Chile has a unique advantage that allows it to be an exception to this rule. The northern tip of this slender country sits at the 25th parallel, where growing conditions would usually be too hot. However, altitudes in Chile's dramatic landscape range from sea level to the 22,608-foot summit of Ojos Del Salado, the world's highest active volcano. These heights keep vineyards cool while allowing them to benefit from the bright Chilean sun. 25 Degrees takes pride in being the anomaly with intensely flavorful wines that are as captivating and unique as the land they hail from.
