What is Scheid Family Wines?
Scheid Family Wines is a portfolio drawn from estate vineyards and released under several labels. The flagship, Scheid Vineyards, is crafted from the top 2% of estate-grown grapes, while the broader portfolio spans limited releases to everyday bottles.
Producing approximately 700,000 cases a year as of 2025, the company combines large-scale production with select blocks dedicated to small lots. After years of supplying grapes to other wineries, the team shifted toward building its own brands by the mid-2000s.
Today, roughly half of its fruit supports those brands, with the remainder sold as grapes or bulk wine to other producers. This dual role—as grower and producer—defines Scheid Family Wines’ scope and variety.
