Monterey Pinot Noir

Scheid Family Wines Riverview Vineyard Pinot Noir showcases the elegant essence of this renowned varietal, with its vibrant red hue that immediately draws the eye. Hailing from the picturesque Monterey region, this wine is characterized by its medium-bodied structure, balancing a delightful freshness with a silky texture. The acidity is bright, adding a refreshing lift that complements the wine's fruit-forward profile. Notes of ripe red cherries, strawberries, and subtle hints of earthiness intertwine beautifully, creating a harmonious depth of flavor. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, providing just enough structure without overwhelming the palate. This Pinot Noir is dry, allowing the fruit's natural brightness to shine through, making it a truly captivating wine to savor and enjoy.

Region:

Central Coast
Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
