What is Clos du Bois?
Clos du Bois was founded in 1974 by Frank Woods, a former marketing executive, with partner Tom Reed in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley.
Its early portfolio set the tone with Marlstone, a Bordeaux-style red blend, and Briarcrest, a Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by notable Chardonnay releases in the early 1980s.
Today, Clos du Bois produces a range of wines that includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, offered across multiple tiers from core bottlings to reserve selections.
