This song is the lead single of the Irish pop-rock band The Script's lead album Science and Faith. This record was made for the people that have helped the band reach levels they have never reached throughout their journey. They noticed that they were undergoing a recession and a lot of people were losing their jobs and wanted to send a message of hope to those who were going through hardships.

Children’s Crusade - Sting

In 1985, Sting’s first solo album, Dream of the Blue Turtles, connects two historical events: drug addiction and the Children’s Crusade movement in Germany in 1212. Sting took a modern approach when it came to the Children’s Crusade, connecting it to World War I when French, German, and English young men were being killed for no reason.

Summer Wine - Lana Del Ray ft Barrie Oniell

Lana Del Ray covered this 1960s hit by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. Hazelwood originally wrote this song and recorded the hit in 67’ where the hit song made a debut in their joint EP called “Nancy & Lee.” Lana has compared herself to Sinatra as the modern “Gangster Nancy Sinatra.”

This song came into works when Noel Gallagher was watching a Champagne documentary and had mistaken a song by The Pixies Called "Bassanova." Gallagher then explains in an interview while writing this song; they realized some words mean nothing.

This song is considered to be the most famous song from the Eagles. When this song was released, many had their own interpretations of what this song was about. Turns out this famous tune was all about "The high life of Los Angeles."

Red Red Wine - UB40

“Red, red wine goes to my head
Makes me forget that I still need her so
Red, red wine, it's up to you All I can do I've done
Memories won't go, memories won't go”
Perhaps the most recognizable song about red wine, is the hit song originally written and recorded by Neil Diamond in 1967.  A couple of years later, two versions of this hit song then were covered by Jimmy James & The Vagabonds, where they added a soul touch to it, then a reggae rendition was made by Tony Tribe. UB40 then took the Tony Tribe Cover and made their own. Neil Diamond's purpose of “Red Red Wine” was to praise wine and to simply forget about your problems.


Sangria Wine - Pharrell Williams & Camilla Cabello

Sangria wine brings you that playful feel and summer vibes right to your ears.  Camilla Cabello and Pharrell Williams partnered up once again after their massive hit “Havana.” Sangria wine is a catchy Latin song that will get moving and grooving.


Cherry Wine - Hozier

Lilac Wine - Miley Cyrus

“Lilac wine is sweet and heady 
Like my love Lilac wine, I feel unsteady Like my love”
Lilac Wine has been covered by numerous artists like Eartha Kitt, Nina Simone, and Jeff Buckley. This song was originally written by James Shelton In 1950. The lyrics interpret a heartache after losing a lover, and the artist finds comfort in wine made from a Lilac tree.


Scenes from an Italian restaurant - Billy Joel

"A bottle of white, a bottle of red / Perhaps a bottle of rose instead"
This song was inspired by The Beatles B-side of the Abbey Road Album.  Billy Joel found that the album was just a bunch of songs the Beatles have written in the past or bits of pieces of hooks they have written but never finished. Joel explains that the line " A bottle of white, a bottle of red, perhaps a bottle of rose instead?" came from a waiter when he was out in town having dinner at an Italian restaurant. Pair this song with a glass of good red wine and perhaps some Italian food.


Tiny Bubbles - Don Ho

"Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)"
Tiny Bubbles is one of Don Ho's hit songs.  He released the song in 1967, then two more years later, more than 30 covers were made as to its one of the most famous champagne songs.

It was a very good year - Frank Sinatra

"But now the days are short, I'm in the autumn of the year
And now I think of my life as vintage wine
From fine old kegs
From the brim to the dregs
It poured sweet and clear
It was a very good year"
This song was originally recorded by The Kingston Trio Brothers, with a folk style that landed on their Goin' Places album in 1961.  Later Sinatra made his own version with instrumentals and his extraordinary vocals that became a big hit, even leading to winning a Grammy for best male vocal performance and best instrumental arrangement with a vocalist. The phrase "It was a very good year" is usually applied to wine as wine ages within the years. Sinatra also uses the wine analogy to think about his past romantic life and lovers as his memories are aging well with time.

Paul Anka - Steel Guitar And A Glass Of Wine 

"Just give me a steel guitar, a glass of wine
And let me drink to a love I thought was mine
A love I thought was true to me
But now I'm drinkin' to her memory"
This song will have you swaying your hips side by side as it gives the swing vibes to it. Now grab your steel guitar and glass of wine and sing along to this 1960s hit.


Strawberry Wine -  Deana Carter

"My first taste of love oh bittersweet
Green on the vine Like strawberry wine"
Strawberry wine is a song about a girl's first love and comparing it to her first sips of alcohol. The song title is a reference to Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill, which is an inexpensive fruity wine.


Sangria - Blake Shelton

"We're buzzing like that no vacancy sign out front
Your skin is begging to be kissed by a little more than the sun
You take my hand in yours, you lean in and
Your lips taste like sangria"
If you and your partner are wine lovers and are looking to set the mood for a nice romantic night Sangria by Blake Shelton is a must. Blake explains that this was "one of the sexiest songs" he has ever recorded. This song brings the vibe of having a couple of drinks that lead to a romantic hook-up.


Wine Colored Roses - George Jones 

"I sent her some wine-colored roses
The color of grapes on the vine
When she sees the wine-colored roses
They'll tell her I'm still on the wine"
This soft, mellow, flowing song is about an ex-lover who sends a letter to her ex asking if he still drinks. Leaving him speechless and unable to respond because he had not quit drinking, he sends her wine-colored roses to symbolize that wine is still going through his system.


Two More Bottles of Wine - Emmylou Harris

"But it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine"
Through Emmylou's lyrics, we understand that "Two more bottles of wine" is about two lovers who move away to Los Angeles in search of success, then her love abruptly leaves. Being left alone to fend on her own, she states " Its all right' cause... I got two more bottles of wine."


Whiskey to Wine - Garth Brooks

"She's always a lady and that's drivin' me crazy
'Cause after you it's like going From whiskey to wine"
You're probably wondering, "Whiskey to wine?" This song is about leaving a toxic relationship, hence Whiskey's comparison, which goes down a little harsh and finds a new love that compares it to the wine, something new and relieving as they both reminisce on the past and present.


Heaven Was a Drink of Wine - Merle Haggard 

"But when she left me I went to hell
Heaven was a drink of wine"
A brokenhearted country guy is devasted and seeks help through a therapist. As he notices that his problems aren't internal he recognizes that when he drinks he is in heaven, making everything feel just okay.


Yesterday's Wine - Willie Nelson

This popular star came up with a clever way to remind us that we as humans, age like fine wine. The longer we live, and the longer wine sits, we're living life with experiences and lessons learned.


Dust on the Bottle - David Lee Murphy

"Creole Williams lived down a dirt road Made homemade wine like nobody I know"
David was sitting on his kitchen table one morning as he was playing the first couple of chords on "Dust on the Bottle" when 15 minutes later he realized he got the song going. In this song, he's singing to a potential lover where he's trying to impress her with some homemade wine and tells her not to worry about the dust on the bottle because she has yet to try what's inside of the dusty bottle.


The Wino and I Know - Jimmy Buffett

This song taps into several of Jimmy Buffetts' favorite subjects, simple pleasures, lobsters, and over-romanticized wisdom of drunks.

This song is about one of Johnny Cash's friends, Vince Matthews who lives in Kingston Springs, whose wife named Melva, also makes homemade wine, so he decided to make song lyrics about her wine.
