What is Domaine Armand Rousseau?
Domaine Armand Rousseau is a historic, small-scale domaine dedicated solely to Pinot Noir wines. The domaine tends approximately 15.3 hectares, including six Grand Cru sites—among them Mazis-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, and Clos de la Roche—plus noted Premier Crus, highlighted by Clos Saint-Jacques.
Founded in the early 1900s by Armand Rousseau, the domaine has passed through three generations and is now in its fourth. Today, Eric Rousseau and his daughter Cyrielle oversee vineyard work and winemaking. Their approach emphasizes old vines, careful farming, and restrained use of new oak. The wines aim for clarity and balance, reflecting each site’s character and built to evolve gracefully over time.
