What is Château Troplong Mondot?

Château Troplong Mondot is a Premier Grand Cru Classé B estate in Saint-Émilion with 43 hectares of limestone-rich vineyards. Its plantings are anchored by Merlot (around 85%), complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The flagship wine is the Grand Vin, while Mondot serves as the second wine, offering a more approachable view of the estate’s terroir.

Farming combines traditional and sustainable methods, including horse-drawn plowing to protect soils and the preservation of hedges and woodlands to support biodiversity. In the cellar, grapes are vinified parcel by parcel and matured in French oak, shaping structured, age-worthy reds that express Troplong Mondot’s site.
