Winner's Circle

2006 Central Coast Roussanne

Bridlewood Estate Winery Winner's Circle Roussanne from the 2006 vintage is a captivating expression of the Central Coast. This white wine showcases a medium body that gracefully envelops the palate, while its high acidity adds a bright and refreshing quality. The fruit intensity is prominent, revealing luscious notes of stone fruit, particularly peach and apricot, enhanced by subtle floral undertones. The wine is dry, allowing the vibrant fruit characteristics to shine through without any cloying sweetness. This delightful Roussanne stands out for its balanced elegance and complexity, making it a superb choice for pairing with a variety of dishes or simply enjoying on its own.

Region:

Central Coast
Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
