2008 Coastal Region White Blend

The A. A. Badenhorst Family Wines White Blend from the Coastal Region, vintage 2008, is an exquisite expression of harmony and balance. This delightful wine showcases a medium-bodied nature, complemented by a bright acidity that invigorates the palate. The fruit intensity is prominent, featuring vibrant notes of stone fruits and citrus that dance on the tongue, while the subtle underlying minerality adds depth and complexity. Its dryness enhances the refreshing quality of the wine, making it incredibly food-friendly, whether paired with seafood, poultry, or light pasta dishes. Coastal Region

Covering most of the Western Cape, the Coastal Region is the beating heart of South Africa's wine industry. Cooled by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and sheltered by mountains to the south and east, the region enjoys perfect conditions for grapevines to thrive. This is where you will find the world-famous sub-regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Wines labeled as Coastal Region are likely to be made from grapes sourced from a few different sub-zones, taking advantage of a wide range of mesoclimates and soil types. Look out for South Africa's flagship grapes: rounded Chenin Blanc, bold, figgy Pinotage and international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Shiraz too.
