Voodoo Chile

2014 Delle Venezie Pinot Noir

Jimi's Voodoo Chile is a captivating red Pinot Noir from the esteemed Delle Venezie region, showcasing the unique characteristics of its terroir. The 2014 vintage presents a medium-bodied experience with a delightful interplay of flavors. It boasts bright acidity that adds an invigorating freshness, making it incredibly food-friendly. The fruit intensity is prominent, revealing luscious notes of ripe red berries, cherries, and a subtle earthiness that grounds the profile. Tannins are well-integrated, providing a graceful structure without overpowering the vibrant fruit. This wine is dry, allowing the complex flavors to shine and culminate in a satisfying finish that invites another sip. An excellent choice for those looking to explore the elegance of Italian Pinot Noir.

Region:

Delle Venezie

Part of the larger Tre Venezie IGT area, delle Venezie offers high quality and more regional character through tighter production rules. The region covers the Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino areas—a large swathe of northeastern Italy lying between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Fresh mountain breezes and cool sea air help temper the sunshine here and maintain fresh acidity in the wines, while day-night temperature variation brings aromatic intensity. As well as Pinot Grigio (which accounts for seven out of every ten bottles made), Pinot Noir does well too. Also look out for sparkling Pinot Grigio Spumante and Frizzante.
