Region:

Dunnigan Hills

The lesser-known Dunnigan Hills appellation is nestled in a set of hills in the northwestern part of Yolo County, just east of Sonoma County. Known for producing big reds and lighter more acidic white. With rolling hills varying between 200 and 500 feet elevation, the region experiences vast diurnal temperature swings. This extreme change between dry heat during the day and cool temperatures at night allows the area to boast an extremely long growing season.
