2011 Yakima Valley Moscato

Columbia Winery's Small Lot Series Moscato from the 2011 vintage is a delightful expression of the Yakima Valley's unique terroir. This white wine exhibits a lovely light body that makes it incredibly refreshing and easy to enjoy. It boasts a high level of acidity, providing a bright and lively character that dances on the palate. The fruit intensity is prominent, with vibrant notes of ripe stone fruits and floral undertones that create a beautifully aromatic experience. This Moscato leans towards the sweeter side, presenting a dryness level that is notably off-dry, making it a wonderful choice for those who appreciate a touch of sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. Ideal for warm afternoons or paired with light desserts, this wine is an absolute pleasure to sip.

Yakima Valley
Yakima Valley

Washington's Yakima Valley enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, thanks to the shelter provided by the Cascade Mountains. And although it is dry here, it has the coolest climate in the Columbia Valley. With innovative irrigation and canopy techniques in the vineyards, Yakima Valley is home to nearly a third of Washington's wine production. Bright sunlight and crisp temperatures result in well-balanced wines with complex flavors and mouthwatering acidity. Fresh, creamy Chardonnay and surprisingly floral Rieslings are the main white wines here. There are also some impressively elegant red Bordeaux-style blends and peppery Syrah with a backbone of rich, dark fruit.
