Seven Flags

2010 Elgin Pinot Noir

The Paul Cluver Seven Flags Pinot Noir from the 2010 vintage is a stunning expression of the Elgin region, showcasing a rich red hue that captures the eye. This wine embodies a medium-bodied profile with bright acidity, giving it an invigorating liveliness on the palate. The fruit intensity is notably prominent, featuring layers of red cherry, raspberry, and hints of plum that dance harmoniously with subtle earthiness. Tannins are finely structured, providing a soft backbone that supports the fruit without overpowering it. This delightful Pinot Noir is beautifully balanced and wonderfully dry, making it an excellent choice for a variety of culinary pairings or simply to be enjoyed on its own.

South Africa
South Africa

With its mountainous, maritime-influenced winegrowing regions, South Africa produces top-quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc and premium Syrah, Pinotage, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Dutch brought vines here back in the 1600s to satiate their thirsty sailors en route to India, but they probably never imagined just how important to the wine world South Africa would one day become. Indeed, it took centuries for South Africa to discover its full potential. Most of the country's winegrowing areas thrive in the southwest, known as the Western Cape. Its most famous regions are an easy drive from Cape Town and include Stellenbosch, Swartland, Breedekloof and Franschhoek.
