2011 Delle Venezie Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso

Fantinel Sant'helena is a captivating red wine crafted from the Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso varietal, hailing from the esteemed Delle Venezie region. This vintage from 2011 showcases a medium-bodied profile, offering a delightful balance between richness and elegance. The wine is characterized by its vibrant acidity, which lends a refreshing quality and enhances its food-friendly appeal. As you savor each sip, you'll discover the pronounced fruit intensity, with luscious notes of dark cherry and red plum taking center stage. Region:

Delle Venezie

Part of the larger Tre Venezie IGT area, delle Venezie offers high quality and more regional character through tighter production rules. The region covers the Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino areas—a large swathe of northeastern Italy lying between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Fresh mountain breezes and cool sea air help temper the sunshine here and maintain fresh acidity in the wines, while day-night temperature variation brings aromatic intensity. As well as Pinot Grigio (which accounts for seven out of every ten bottles made), Pinot Noir does well too. Also look out for sparkling Pinot Grigio Spumante and Frizzante.
