2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

The Garden Vineyards Reserve 2009 Pinot Noir from the esteemed Willamette Valley captivates with its enchanting red hue and an aromatic bouquet that invites you in. This elegant wine presents a medium-bodied profile, balanced beautifully with lively acidity that refreshes the palate. The fruit intensity shines through with prominent flavors of ripe red cherries and succulent raspberries, complemented by subtle notes of earth and spice that add complexity. Tannins are notably soft, providing a gentle structure that enhances the overall mouthfeel without overpowering the delicate fruit character. As a dry wine, it gracefully lingers, making it a delightful companion for a variety of dishes or a serene evening on its own.

Region:

Willamette Valley

The Willamette Valley is understandably most often associated with Pinot Noir. The cool-climate region has a unique relationship to this most delicate (and temperamental!) red wine grape. Lying on the same latitude as Burgundy in France, the Willamette Valley enjoys the perfect balance of sunshine and rain, proximity to the Pacific Ocean and protection on either side by the Coast Range and the Cascade Mountains. Along its 100 miles, the Willamette Valley boasts many distinct terroirs, so among its many brightly fruity, elegantly structured and blissfully fragrant Pinots, you'll also find exceptional Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling.
