Salice Salentino Negroamaro, Malvasia

Suavitas Reserva is a delightful red wine from the Salice Salentino region, showcasing a captivating blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia grapes. This wine presents a full-bodied character, offering substantial richness and depth that envelops the palate with each sip. Its acidity is bright and lively, perfectly balancing the opulent flavors. Bursting with prominent fruit intensity, Suavitas Reserva reveals notes of dark cherries and ripe blackberries, complemented by subtle hints of spice and earthiness. The tannins are notable yet smooth, providing structure while retaining a pleasant softness that contributes to its overall approachability. Its dry style enhances the complexity, making it an excellent companion for a range of dishes or an indulgent experience on its own.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
