Pinot Grigio

2007 Delle Venezie Pinot Grigio

The 2007 Davinci Pinot Grigio from the Delle Venezie region is a delightful expression of this classic varietal. This wine presents a light-bodied profile that enchants the palate with its refreshing nature. With mild acidity, it provides a gentle crispness that enhances the overall drinking experience. The fruit intensity is marked by prominent notes of pear and green apple, making it an appealing choice for those who enjoy fruity whites. As for dryness, this Pinot Grigio leans towards a dry style, allowing the clean flavors to shine through without any lingering sweetness. A perfect match for light dishes or a sunny afternoon, the Davinci Pinot Grigio exudes elegance and vibrancy, making it a fantastic representation of its terroir.

Region:

Delle Venezie

Part of the larger Tre Venezie IGT area, delle Venezie offers high quality and more regional character through tighter production rules. The region covers the Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino areas—a large swathe of northeastern Italy lying between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Fresh mountain breezes and cool sea air help temper the sunshine here and maintain fresh acidity in the wines, while day-night temperature variation brings aromatic intensity. As well as Pinot Grigio (which accounts for seven out of every ten bottles made), Pinot Noir does well too. Also look out for sparkling Pinot Grigio Spumante and Frizzante.
