Paritaru

Puglia Negroamaro

The Family Estates Paritaru, a captivating red wine from the Puglia region, showcases the unique character of the Negroamaro varietal. This wine presents a full-bodied profile, enriched by its robust structure and mouthwatering acidity that invigorates the palate. The flavor intensity is prominent, brimming with vibrant notes of dark fruit, particularly black cherry and plum, which beautifully intertwine with subtle hints of spice and earth. The tannins are well-crafted and provide a firm backbone, ensuring a satisfying mouthfeel without overpowering the fruit. This wine is crafted to be dry, making it a versatile choice for various pairings, particularly with rich, savory dishes that highlight the wine's depth and complexity. Whether enjoyed on its own or alongside a hearty meal, The Family Estates Paritaru promises an engaging tasting experience that illustrates the charm of Puglia's winegrowing tradition.

Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
