About 100 miles north of Sydney, the Hunter Valley is characterized by its uniquely low-lying, relatively cool, humid climate. This brings out extraordinary levels of ripeness in the Sémillon grape while keeping alcohol levels moderate. The Hunter is also famed for its world-class Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Verdejo.
