Hungary is an under-the-radar wine destination that produces a wide variety of hugely promising wines. Hungarian wine is nothing new: progressive, quality-focused winemaking has been taking place here since the days of the Roman Empire. Set back by Soviet-era state monopoly, Hungary's winemaking is back on track and continues to evolve, combining tradition with modernity. The result?
