Moros

2015 Salice Salentino Negroamaro

The Claudio Quarta Vignaiolo Moros is a stunning expression of the Negroamaro varietal hailing from the renowned Salice Salentino region. This full-bodied red wine captivates the senses with its deep ruby color, inviting aromas of ripe blackberries and cherries, intertwined with alluring notes of herbs and a hint of spiciness. On the palate, it showcases a rich fruit intensity, complemented by well-integrated tannins that lend structure and depth. The vibrant acidity adds a refreshing lift, making it an excellent companion to hearty dishes and grilled meats. Enjoy this delightful wine with a variety of pairings, and let it transport you to the sun-drenched vineyards of southern Italy.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
