Fetzer Mendo Chardonnay from the 2012 vintage is an inviting white wine that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Mendocino County. It showcases a medium-bodied profile with a bright acidity that brings a refreshing vitality to each sip. The fruit intensity is pronounced, revealing dominant notes of juicy apple and pear, intertwined with delicate hints of citrus and subtle oak nuances. This Chardonnay is dry, making it versatile for food pairing, and the mild tannins add a pleasant structure without overshadowing the wine's vibrant fruit character. Region:

Mendocino County

One of the unsung regions of the North Coast, Mendocino County enjoys some of California's finest cool-climate terroirs. Lying north of Sonoma, it is home to 12 separate AVAs, spread through sleepy valleys and long, rugged coastlines—much of which exudes a rustic, laid-back feel. Mendocino delights fans of top-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wine, but there is also plenty of fine Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Syrah made in its warmer sites too. Mendocino is also famous for its high number of organic-certified vineyards, reflecting the general "off-grid" hippie nature of its winemaking pioneers.
