The northernmost part of the hallowed Côte d'Or in France's Burgundy region, the Côte de Nuits is home to such revered names as Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée. Over half of Burgundy's Grand Crus—its "first class" wines—are produced in its sleepy villages. The Côte de Nuits is all about red wines made from Pinot Noir, famed worldwide for their complexity, elegance and velvety beauty.
