Chile Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon

The Water 2 Wine Limited Edition - Crush Series showcases a captivating red hue that invites exploration. This blend of Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile presents a wine with a full-bodied character, delivering a robust mouthfeel that's both satisfying and complex. Bright acidity dances on the palate, providing a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors and enhancing the overall experience. The fruit intensity is prominent, featuring lush notes of dark berries, complemented by subtle hints of spice and earthy undertones. Tannins deliver a firm structure, contributing to the wine’s aging potential while still being smooth enough to enjoy now. With its dry profile, this wine beautifully balances the boldness of its varietals, making it a delightful companion for various dishes, from grilled meats to hearty stews.

In recent years, Chile has increasingly produced incredible wines of exceptional value. With a setting influenced by the Andes Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, the Atacama Desert and even Antarctica, Chile is a diverse land with rocky foothills, lush valley floors and cool coastal zones. Chile gained international renown for its New World take on classic Bordeaux varieties. Interestingly, it's an obscure red Bordeaux variety—Carménère—that has become Chile's signature grape. But other Old World varieties do equally well in Chile; Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay have all become mainstays of Chilean wine, exhibiting impressive levels of quality and balance in the country's distinct terroirs.
