Chablis

Chablis, located in the northernmost part of Burgundy, France, is one of the most renowned winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning rolling hills and lush valleys, Chablis' vineyards cover a unique array of terroir. The cool, crisp climate plays a major role in shaping Chablis' vineyards, with its limestone-rich soils and chilly air allowing grapes to ripen slowly but fully. This cool climate is ideal for the Chardonnay grape, which thrives in these conditions, producing wines with remarkable acidity and minerality. Vineyards closest to the riverbanks benefit from the most temperate conditions, yielding the most delicate and refined wines, while further inland, the slightly warmer areas produce wines with greater depth and intensity.
